Brittany Hunger, LLPC, ATR-P
Brittany is a Hope College alumnus with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Art Therapy from Edinboro University. Brittany is a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Michigan as well as a Registered Art Therapist with a provisional license. She is experienced in treating a variety of mental health concerns. Brittany works with children, adolescents, and adults utilizing a person-centered and strength-based approach and believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to express themselves, heal, and grow.
Kristine S. Berryman, LMSW
Kris graduated with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Indiana University in 2015. She has her clinical social work license in the state of Michigan, Indiana and Wisconsin. Kris specializes in the treatment of adults, adolescents and children. She uses a variety of person-centered, trauma-informed and strengths-based methodologies in her practice. Kris believes that within each person lies the capacity for emotional healing, no matter their current or prior life experiences.
Kaitlyn Wright, LPC, CAADC, NCC
Kaitlyn graduated with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University in 2018. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Michigan. She enjoys helping clients through a wide range of struggles including anxiety, mood disorders, and substance abuse. She often incorporates a person-centered approach and play therapy into her practice. She believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to heal.
Jacob Brown, LLP
Jacob graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a bachelor's in psychology and received his Master of Science in Clinical-Behavioral Psychology from Eastern Michigan University in 2022. Jacob is a Limited Licensed Psychologist in the State of Michigan. He is passionate about working with adolescents and adults struggling with loss or grief, trauma, anxiety, and/or depression.
Austin Huffer, LPC
Austin is a Hope College alumnus who received his Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. Austin is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Michigan. He is passionate about working with adults and adolescents and walking with them through issues regarding anxiety, depression, grief, identity, sexuality, and trauma. It is Austin’s belief that it is never too late to heal or change for the better.
Kaitlyn Gould, LMSW, CFNC
Kaitlyn received her Master’s from Western Michigan University. She is a fully licensed Master of Social Work in the State of Michigan and Certified Functional Nutrition Counselor. She is passionate about working with those experiencing grief and/or loss, anxiety, and depression. Kaitlyn takes a holistic approach, incorporating personalized nutritional strategies alongside evidenced-based therapeutic techniques to support your journey towards healing and transformation.
Melissa Kloosterman
Melissa came to Headwaters Counseling working as our Office Manager. She has over 10 years of experience in a behavioral health and an integral part of the HW Team. She has a passion for helping others and making a difference in the community.
Abigail Bowman, LMSW
Abigail is a Hope College alumnus with a Bachelors in Social Work. She went on to obtain her Master's in Social Work from Indiana University and fully Licensed as a Master of Social Work in the State of Michigan. Abigail enjoys working with adults and families. She has experience working with children with neurodevelopmental disorders, including Autism spectrum. Abigail excels in a strength-based approach and empowers her clients to be the best version of themselves.

As a culturally sensitive psychologist, Keith specializes in both couples work and individual therapy for adults, adolescents and children. He provides collaborative, action-oriented and honest feedback to shape your journey towards a greater sense of freedom, meaning and purpose.

Amy graduated with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Michigan State University in 2019. She specializes in the treatment of adults, adolescents and children. She uses a variety of person-centered, trauma-informed and strengths-based methodologies in her practice. Amy is passionate about working with children and families to overcome their past so they can focus on the present and hope for the future.

Holly holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Grand Valley State University, with a strong commitment to improving the well-being and quality of life for children, individuals and families. She combines her knowledge of social work theory with hands-on experience from diverse clinical settings.
