Keith Louwerse, Psy.D.

I grew up in West Michigan scampering the dunes of Lake Michigan and venturing the twists and turns of the Pere Marquette River with a fly rod. Over the years, I developed a passion to walk along side people in meaningful ways.

During my time in academia, I graduated from Hope College and went on to the George Fox School of Clinical Psychology. I worked closely with Dr. Mark McMinn, Ph.D., ABBP, one of the pioneers of Integrative Psychotherapy. As such, I have developed a keen interest for the encounter between spirituality, faith and wellness. Therapy with Headwaters Counseling entails a careful balance of the advantages of scientific methodologies, psychological theory and theological factors. Together, we will explore not only matters of cognition, affect and behavior, but also care for the soul.

As a culturally sensitive psychologist, I specialize in both couples work and individual therapy for adults, adolescents and children. I provide collaborative, action oriented and honest feedback to shape your journey towards a greater sense of freedom, meaning and purpose.
